    Art on the Hill exhibitor Liam Biswell will be guiding children on how to create striking prints of their favourite animals using an Etching press (which is really fun). Choose an animal image from a selection that Liam will bring along with him or why not bring along your own animal picture or maybe a photo of your pet. If you do decide to bring your own picture make sure it is around A6 size.  We will be using the etching press and various exciting printmaking equipment.

  • Bears of the World: Sculpting Session

    HOST: Anna Hayward

    From the snowy Arctic to deep green forests, bears live all over the world and have evolved in amazing ways to suit their homes. Which famous bear will you choose to bring to life? In this workshop, led by Anna Hayward, you'll use air-hardening clay to sculpt your favourite species of bear. You’ll be able to take your new friend home at the end of the session to paint whenever they are dry!

  • SUPER SLIME

    Our ever-popular slime workshops are back!!!!! It’s stretchy, it’s gloopy and it’s always fun! We’ll show children how to combine the ingredients to mix the perfect slime and explain some of the science along the way. There will be plenty of time to play and children will learn different ways to make bubbles. We’ll also make a foam clay pencil topper to take home. Book early – this one always sells out!

  • PAINT A PLANT POT & FRIEND

    PAINT A PLANT POT & FRIEND

    Spring is coming, so in this workshop we will enjoy creating wonderful designs on a terracotta plant pot using acrylic paint. While it dries, we’ll create a fun plant pot friend to add to our pot once we have planted it up. Painting overalls will be provided due to the nature of the paint and younger children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

  • WET FELTING ART

    HOST: Emma Winterborne

    Wet Felting – Learn the origins and method of turning wool into fabric, but with a creative twist. Children will enjoy the tactile nature of this workshop, first by thinning stretching and layering the carded wool and then the messy bit! Making felt involves water, soap, rubbing, rolling and a real workout! Lots of fun and a new technique to try. We will have to rinse our felt once it is formed, so please feel free to pop back later to collect your work.
